Everybody calls me Chill.
For a reason I guess.
I go with the flow. I don’t make waves and I am a happy living person.
Everybody likes me this way. My friends, my wife, my family and the government.
But even if all finds me Chill, Chill is the complete opposite of what I want for me.
So I learn my first lesson: don’t get tied by all the rules and patterns that people have created to be a good boy and a follower.
So, I will escape from those and prepare my »VIAJE » and unleash the power of real freedom with a plan that I will share with you if you follow the path with me.
First things first: I am 61 years old. I am a happily married man, living in Costa Rica, a SUV , a motorcycle, and not too much money aside for now. I know, I should have saved money for retirement, but I didn’t. So what if I start now? Let’s see, I still have a good 20 years ahead of me and I remember that from 20 to 40 years old the world belonged to me at the time. So for me it will be the same twenty years with better knowledge and more focus on my plan.

My name is Sylvain Amiot.
My nickname is ‘Chill’.
I am a Canadian photographer. I fell in love with the beauty of nature. Wildlife, forest, landscape or anything that deserves a picture for us to remember a beautiful moment in time.
On my website, I hope to make you dream a little and hearing me say to you « Oh, How I wish you were here ».
I have visited many countries: Jamaica, Spain, Greece, Thailand, Bora-Bora, Hawaii, Italy, Indonesia, Philippines, France but most important I fell in love with Costa Rica and I will share some of my work that trully made me connect with nature and willife.
I will make you live my profound appreciation for the natural world and what made me decide to retire from my regular job to pursue my photographic passion and teaching you how you an do the same.
I haved been studying photography and cinematic for a very long time. I started in high school with black and whites and darkrooms developing, after in college in cinematic. Recently I had the honor of being vice-president of a photography club for a short period of time.
